IMR4831 goes with the 243 like butter goes with bread. It’s not fancy but it shoots great in hot or cold weather, and with light to heavy bullets. Sometimes new isn’t better.

Over the years I have used a lot of IMR4831 in both my 243's and 6mm's. Anymore I use more RL19 than anything else.

I always had great success with IMR4895 with the lightweight bullets and IMR4350 with the heavyweight bullets in the 243 Win.

I am a simple person and I like to use one powder for the bullet weights I shoot. In both the 243 and 6mm I have found over the years I can get my most accurate loads for both calibers with RL19. IMR4064 and IMR4831 are both good also for the bullets I shoot but not as good as RL19. Especially in today's evnviroment it is nice to only having to worry about getting one powder.
