What is the best bullet for a 243 win for prairie dogs and coyotes thanks

Your choices are either 55 gr or 70 gr BT in the 243 Win.
I would go with the 70 gr BT but keep in mind that the 243 is rough on coyote hides. If you plan on saving hides, stay away from the bones. The heavier weight and higher BC of the 70 gr will also help with less wind drift at long range.
My favorite load in 243 Win with the 70 gr BT was 39.5 grs IMR4895. This was the "club" load, shot well under MOA for everyone that used it.

Depends on how far you want to shoot IMO.

FYI, Shooter's Pro Shop has been selling 100gn Solid Base 2nds bullets on Bivwak, the price is about $4 - $5 a bag. I took a CA blacktail with one of these bullets.

An 87 V-max with its .400 BC would be very hard pressed to beat for both p dogs and yotes in my opinion. I shot prairie dogs with the 95 ballistic tip but didn't have any splat factor due to the heavier jacket designed for deer sized game.
I just got 500 95gr Ballistic Tips for my sons 243, plus 500 100gr Partitions as seconds from Bivwak. I figure I can work up a decent Varmint/Deer load with the BT's and a strict deer load with the Partitions. Should be enough bullets until he is old enough to buy his own. Scotty

If I had a .243 I'd stock up on the 100gr solid base bullets.
