250 gr .338 accubond

Thanks JD338.
One more question, after you get a good group on paper, what sizing incremates do you use when adjusting the seating depths?

I load to a COL that fits the magazine. The 338 RUM has a lot of free bore and I have never measured it. It just shoot good so I leave it as it is.

I haven't messed with it, but if I had a LR 338, that would be my bullet of choice. Can't beat the BC and bonded construction for animals you would use the 338 on. Since I am only shooting a 338WM, I think the PT does fine out to 500 and that is about my personal limit for hunting. It is a monster, as is the 225gr AB which also shot really well. Scotty

I preffer the 225 AB, but I have been having a hard time getting it to shoot good in my gun. Going to be trying some RL-17 and H4350 here this winter.

Jake, have you ever tried the 225-250gr PT's? I shot some 225gr AB's and they shot good, but have since swapped to the PT's. I guess on elk, any of them will work fine. Hoping the 250's shoot well though, I think they would be the ultimate elk/bear load, and with the B&C reticle, it shouldn't be any big trick to get them dialed in out to 500 yards or so. Scotty

The 338 cal 250 gr AB in my 338 RUM is an accurate hammer. Here are some recovered bullets.

Those 250's look really good in the 338RUM Jim!

Here are a couple of mine loaded up. Those 250gr Partitions look pretty classic in the 338 Alaskan! Scotty
