I have been looking at getting an AR10 in 6.5 creedmore or 260 remington thinking it would be a terrific repeating hunting rifle. Would love to have a rock river but looks like I will have to go DPMS to get it.
However, after seeing this new thread about boring out a barrel got me thinking. Could you buy a browning BLR in .243 and have it bored out to .260?? If I am reading things right the creedmore would be too short to recut the chamber. The case length is shorter on the 260 but the shoulder if farther forward than the .243 would it work? I think that would be a pretty cool little rifle.
