Picked up can of Hodgdons Hybred V-100 and some 140gr AB for my 270win. Was give 2 boxes of 140gr B-tips as well, (good friend).

Has anyone tried the V-100 yet its between H4350 and H4831 in burn rate. This will be a spring project for me. I have a 22" barrel so I thought this may be a good powder to try. The only powder I think I am shooting in factory ammo is WIN 780 in their 140gr AB (ammo from hodgdons manual).

One of my pet loads in my 280 is H100V and 140 grain Partitions. I get excellent velocities and exceptional accuracy. I haven't used it in the 270, but I don't doubt that it would work.

Have not tried that powder with those two bullets. Have found both bullets to be very, very, very accurate with H-4831 and IMR-4831. Your powder choice looks like the proper burn rate. Should do fine.

I have heard great things about 100V in the 270/280. Can't see why it wouldn't be a great one.
