Has anyone tried Hodgdon's Superperformace with the 30-06 and 180 gr bullets? I've had a pound since last year and never used it.

I have with both 178 and 212 ELDX. Velocities were blistering for me with none of the common pressure signs we who don't have a pressure trace look for. 24" Hart barrel 10 twist. I think they're on to something with it.

Your loads?

58gr on the 178 and 55 on the 212. Both are around a grain under published max. I get an average 150fps over the book velocity. Might be my chrono is wonky, but I don't think so. I'm not sure how far one could safely push it, not as adventurous as I once was. I am shooting a 30/06 Serengeti chamber.

I will show my ignorance here and ask...
What is a Serengeti chamber?? :) :?:
Thanks
Ed

Kimber Mtn Ascent. Nosler 180 gr. AccuBond. 59.5 gr. Superformance. CCI 200 Primer. Oal 3.34. 5 shot avg. 3005 fps. (really). I just shot to 460 yards and it actually shot a 1.25" group at that range.
Superformance is my go to powder in several calibers.
