Finally found a load for the Remington SPS .300 RUM, topped with a new Redfield 3-9X40mm with the Accurange reticle...

Barnes 180 grain TTSX, Remington cases, Federal GM215M primers, 3.556" OAL, and 90.0 grains of RL-25. 3 shots at 100 yards = 0.38". 35° and 2,000 foot elevation.

Now it's time for Oregon's Spring Bear season.

You are golden. Nice load for bear or anything!

Either will make for quite a smack down. How did the 180 grain PTs or the 200 grain ABs perform?

Fair...Living in Oregon and only a few hours from Nosler's HQ, I continue to want their bullets to shoot. However, I just can't get them to shoot as accurately in my rifles, as other brands. Currently, I'm loading the Barnes TSX or TTSX in 5 of my rifles, all shooting under 3/4".

The 200 grain AccuBond had potential as the first group shot at 1.19" with 92.0 grains of RL-25. The second however opened up to 2.01" with two touching and a flyer. I've tried a few other loads with RL-25 and Retumbo with this bullet but nothing panned out.

The 180 grain Partition showed potential as well with a 1.03" group over 99.5 grains of Retumbo. The second group opened up to 2.93"...This is the bullet that I really wanted to work in this rifle, but with over 12 different loads, and multiple seating depths I haven't found anything that shot under 1.5".

I'll keep on trying when time permits, but for now, I'm content with the 180 grain TTSX under .5".

I'm content with the 180 grain TTSX under .5".

Well, I'd guess! Nothing wrong with that sort of accuracy, and Barnes have worked well for me.
