Anyone use the 190 gr BTSP in their 300 Win......any load advice?

Thanks

If you mean the Hornady, yes, I have. Great bullet. I have used it with H1000 and launched it at 3100 fps. Works great on elk and mulies.

Has anyone tried H4350 with the 190 grain Hornady. My plan is to use the 200 AB for elk and the 190 BTSP for mule deer inmy 300 Win. I have heard that 67 grs ought to give near 2900 in a 24 inch barrel. Fast enough for me! Nice velocity and accuracy should be swell! With a BC of .491, it should fly pretty straight too. Remington actually has decided to load a 190 grain Boattail in their Premiere line this year. The Advertised MV is 2885 fps.

In my 300 Win.....I have found the Reloader 19 with the lighter bullets.....and Reloader 22 with the popular 190 and 200gr work best for me!

69.4 of RL22 w/200gr AB ---2800fps
70.4 of RL22 w/190 BTSP ----2900fps

70.0 of RL 19 w/180gr AB

Fed 215GM Primer

I have finally decided upon some loads for my 300 Win Mag. I want to use the 180 PT or AB with 73.5 grs of RL22. The PT will give 2900 even but the AB will give 2980. Both have been chronographed. The 190 Hornady will use the same charge and gives 2920 fps. The 200 AB load is 71 grs of RL22 for 2850 fps. Good loads shoot well and I love rolling my own. I just wish a pound of RL22 went a little farther than 100 cases of 300 Winchester as it is around 28 dollars a pound at my nearest store. To go where it is cheaper involves at least 2 hours of driving. Too Bad.
