Hi Gents,

any good recipe to load this caliber using IMR4350, behind Ballistic Tip 165 and Partition same weight ?

I will be shooting them in a 24" tube.

Thanks

Thanks Doc, I'll stick with it then ! (y)

One additional question, if I may....

With Lead free monolithic bullets (with rings, like Barnes), should I decrease loads a bit, compare to "standard" bullets of the same weight ?

You'll note the cautionary note on the E-Tip on the Nosler data. Ensure that you begin with the starting load and work up carefully, watching for pressure signs. Barnes doesn't list IMR 4350 on their web site, though the No. 4 manual lists a starting load of 61.0 grains and a maximum charge of 68.0 grains of IMR 4350 with the 165/168 grain TSX.

I have been working with my 300 wsm a lot recently. I have found that h4350 and 180 and 165 partitions are consistently around an inch with most loads. Yesterday day I loaded some 165 Barnes tipped tsx over imr4350 seated a touch shorter than the tikka's mag lenth. I worked up to 67 grains (68 was listed max) and no pressure signs were present at that charge in my rifle. I had several groups hovering around an inch and my best load at 66.5 going about .6 i don't think you can go wrong with the partitions or the tsx. Both should be excellent killers. Good luck!
