Went to the range yesterday afternoon to try another load with a 168 gr Barnes TTSX through the 300 WSM,I upped the charge from 66 to 66.5 gr of IMR-4350 and the accuracy improved greatly despite the one shot I completely barnied!

I may up the charge to 67 gr and see if it gets any better? If not I'm good with this for a hunting load.

Was the low shot pulled, or a fouling shot? Still, that is dead elk out to 400 yards, easily.

I pulled the shot, I knew as soon as I pulled the trigger it was a bad shot.

Wow, looks pretty good. Any idea of speeds on it? That is probably a super bullet in the 300..

I haven't checked the speed on it yet. I've got to get hold of a buddy of mine and barrow his chronograph and check this load plus the one I'm running through my 444 as soon as the weather gets a little better around here.
