Since my shoulder operation I've been taking a look at ways to lighten up on the recoil. One of the calibers under consideration was .30/30 in the new extended range Marlins with the 24" stainless barrels. I love my 1895, but it hurts me. Then I remembered, over on the old Marlin forum, talk of gunsmiths who would rechamber .30/30 to .307 Win. They said it was easy, very do-able, and since Nosler makes a Partition for it, hey, why not. Anybody out there remember that thread, or know a gunsmith who will do such a thing?

Try these guys. They do all sorts of lever gun work.
