308 with 165gr boolits

So I made some loads for my tikka t3x 308win using imr4895. They shot well but I’m going to shorten up my seating depth to get more consistency in groups. I loaded 44.0gr at 2.82” which is mag length max and rifle chamber measured 2.91”. I got no signs of overpressure at all and unfortunately lost my chronograph on the way to the range and the new Athlon hasn’t arrived yet. But does 44gr seem excessive at all? All the loads I see as I read with 165/168gr boolits are 41-42 gr loads. Maybe I’m overthinking it

Nosler data has 43 grains as max charge, Hodgdon has 45.5 as max charge.
You’re right in between.
