As most of us 338 cal hunters know, the 210 gr PT is a legend. With a .400 BC and a .263 SD, it kills fast and penetrates very well even on the biggest game.

My question is why did Mr. Nosler choose a bullet weight of 210 grains? Most other manufactures have 200 gr offerings.

Well, that even brings up the point of why not a 215, like Sierra! I haven't ever used the 210, but it seems that everyone that has used it, really has alot of praise for it. Either way, I go with Str8meat's response, of why follow, when you can lead! Scotty

I agree with you both, Nosler is a leader for sure. Nosler had the 210 gr PT long before Sierra came out with their 215 gr GK.

I am just curious why the 210 gr weight was chosen. I'm thinking that getting to a .400 BC or the .263 SD had something to do with it.

The 210 gr PT has been stellar in my 338 RUM with sub .5 MOA accuracy and fast kills on Elk, Mule Deer and a Black Bear. They all dropped in their tracks and never moved!
