338 Win Mag ?

What kind of velocities can I expect to get with 250gr partitions or ABs in the 338 Win Mag with a 24 inch barrel ? is anyone getting 2800 with this combo ?

The closest load in my book for that velocity is 73 grains of Reloader 19. and that is going 2735fps, not to mention that is max load.

I'm merely guessing here since I have no idea what powder, primer you intend on using or if your rifle has a fast or slow barrel. I would think mid 2700's would be doable but up near or at max charge.

In general, 2750fps is about max with this combo, but with creative component matching, 2800 isn't a huge streach. I both the 200 and 225gr AB with great results in my rig. H4831, and H4350 are my powders of choice.
