Rich,

Nice shooting.

I am using 98.6 grs of Retumbo, 250 gr AB, R-P case and Federal GM215M primers for a MV of 2940 fps. Accuracy is pretty good in the M700 LSS.

Rich and Jim,

Those are some fine groups. I should think they would work on about anything.

Yes, should be suitable for almost anything. If I need more, the same load with a 250 gr PT clocks at 3024 fps and should be able to take care of business.

I finally goit out andchrono'd the 250AB load. A five shot average is 2970fps. I was hoping the 101gn of Retumbo would yield more, but it is what it is. I'm going to redo the chrono when I get back to Idaho to see if the huge elevation change makes a difference (200ft to 5000ft), but I doubt it will.

Rich,

That is still a good velocity that will be good for any game on the continent.

Rich,

I would have thought a little more too, but these big RUM cases are not fuel efficient. Still a good load though, congratulations.

I have had good luck with RL25

but I have had to back off to 94 gr RL25 to keep from losing the brass to primer pocket expansion. I do have a tight chamber with a short throat so that may be the reason.
