I have my 1933 HD Micro-Sight custom running like a Swiss Watch. Carrying my ammo in an original Al Goerg cartridge carrier and hollow pointing the 173 Keith's with an original Al Goerg hollow pointer. I have carried it once this year and heading out again Saturday.

I see your gun has the old style long action. I have a 38/33 Outdoorsman with that same action and I much prefer it to the later short action which was used to make it easier for target shooters cocking single action during the rapid fire sequence of the match. All I can add is they don't make them like they used to.

I adore seeing individuals head into the woods with a.38/44 revolver! The balance and stopping power are ideal for close-range combat in the undergrowth. Remember to take your time loading the rounds; uniformity in pressure makes a significant impact.

The 38/44 was one of the first cartridges I loaded for. I did work them up to magnum levels and for a long time that gun was my serious woods gun. On Fourth of July weekend I used it to kill a Black Bear that camp into camp and was going after one of the female campers in our group. A while later I sold it at a good price and was kicking myself ever since. I finally found another one, again a pre-number version. This one I'll never sell.
