Today was able to find some brass and have a lead on some bullets. What are your thoughts on the Hornady 265 Interlock for deer and black bears? From looking at the bullet test on Marlin Owners, it looks like a good bullet at a reasonable price.

When reloading for a straight walled case, will the Lee 3 die set with a Lee crimp die do the job? What are some of secrets to loading a strait walled case? I have not been down this road before, but from what I read, cases need to be prepped, sized, flared, then charged and the bullet seated.

When loading for a lever rifle, do I need to determine where the lands are and figure out the jump of the bullet? Also, how do you figure the amount of crimp needed for the round? Does the amount of crimp change how the round group like the seating depth when loading bottle neck rounds?

I run RL7 with all 444 loads and a 1/2 turn on the FCD. Basically when it touches, I add a 1/2 turn. Rock solid crimp.

Tons of great bullets for the 444. Hard to pick a bad one.
