A friend wants to load up some 160 accubonds in his 7 mm stw, do any of you guys have a good load? Any help would be appreciated.

Our most accurate book load for the 7mm STW with the 7mm-160gr AccuBond is as follows:
H1000 powder
Start : 74.0grs (most accurate)
Max : 78.0grs
As always start low and work your way up carefully.

In my 7STW with the 160gr AccuBond I had excellent results with 80gr of H1000. I had the same level of accuracy with 80gr of Retumbo and, presumably, had a lower pressure load.

As always ,you need to start with reduced loads and work up.

Thanks for all the load info. I wrote them all down and gave them to my friend.

I load 77.0 gr of H1000 when using 160 gr partitions and it works great. This is what I use for all deer and elk.

I'm at 78 grs of RL25 with excellent accuracy--probably about 3,200fps MV. While not exactly the most demanding test for the load, it performed flawlessly on a broadside antelope shot at 160 yds so far this season.

Charlie-NY has more experience with this cartridge than I do. I plan to load some H1000 this weekend for a comparison but will hunt deer and elk this year with the Reloder.
