7 STW Sako 75 SS/syn. on Gunbroker, look it's going cheap!!

Price is great if you have the money but I would not want to take the risk for that amount of money knowing how hot a round the 7mmSTW is and to have to trust the fellow that it was not shot much. I owned and shot one for three years and as great a round as the 7mmSTW is without a doubt, I would only want one if I bought it new or personally knew the person selling it to me.

That is the magic of Sakos. In case you all did not know Sako uses extremely hard steel in their barrels that can last a long time. World renowned gunsmith Cliff LaBounty refused to rebore any Sako or Tikka because of the hard steel they use/ They would break his tools constantly.

That would be a tempting rifle, if i did'nt already have a tack driving model 70 in the same caliber.
Its a fantastic round, in my expereience, for 3 shots my model 70 classic is amazing.
Often puts 3 , 160 grain acubonds into sub quarter inch groups.
And seldome shoots worse then .75.
That is at over 3200 FPS and using Federal 215Ms and H-1000.
Funny thing is i almost never use that rifle. I have considerd rebarreling to the .358 STA but I would, hate to rebarrel such a great shooting rifle, and what the heck would i do with the .358 STA.
