75th Anniversary M70

I must say that I'm pleased to see the 7mm WSM back in the line-up. The 264 WM is a great addition, as well.

I'm curious DrMike, could you see yourself getting one of the 264 Win Mags? I really like my custom Rem 700 it shoots flat, kills well and hardly kicks at all.

Gerry,

I would enjoy having a 264 WM, and it is possible that I could spring for one in the Sporter to get the extra couple of inches. On the other hand, even though it is a 24 inch tube, one in the Featherweight would be a match for my 7mm RM Featherweight.

Now, Bill, they truly become your rifle when you place a souvenir on the stock. Besides, they can be refinished in a few years.

They are beautiful, beyond a doubt. I would shoot my self if I ever scratched one of those pretty wood stocks.

Just for reference, I like Bill's old beat up M70 as well. After seeing it in person, I think it should go into an elk hunters museum.

Either would be a great looking gun Mike. Every time I shoot mine I'm amazed at how comfortable it is to shoot.

You fellas are starting to rub off on me.......those M70's are pretty nice!

Jim, I think you would appreciate the new Winchesters alot. They are very well made and so far none of mine have needed much other than a little trigger work. I'm pretty jaded though.
