Guys are these two powders the same except for the grain length? If so the load data for IMR 7828 should be the same for the SSC 7828, with the exception being load density. Looking at getting some to try in a few different rifles.
 
Yep, the same, but some calibers state that you must use the SSC version as you will not be able to get the called out amount in those calibers with the regular version.
 
Same burn rate, SSC stands for Super Short Cut and allows for 4% more powder in the same volume.

I'll also add that I've had better velocity from the ssc across a couple of lot numbers of each. Not a scientific test, nor definitive, but so far, the ssc is better for my use.
