Im loading for a friend, he has an old 7mm Remington mag. I have Rl. 26 and H1000 available, with 160 grain tsx, bullets. Hoping for a quickload to find a perfect load.
Thanks in advance.

Used a 24 inch barrel length, if you have any H20, OAL , etc info, I could crunch it further for you.

H-1000 was specifically designed for 1000 yd match shooting with the magnum cartridges. It is temperature stable and gives excellent accuracy in the 7 rem mag. It doesn't yield top velocity compared to Re-26. My 7mm Rem load is 160 Nosler AB and H-1000 and have shot several 1/4" and several smaller three shot groups

I've used Rl22 in several 7mm, I agree it's just about perfect. But I'm out. I have a good supply of 1000 and 26, and like both of those equally in my 338 Jarrett. I think I'm just flipping a coin😁

H1000 was one of the go-to propellants when loading commercially. It was most dependable in the 7RM, always producing reasonable velocities and fine accuracy in a variety of rifles.

I grumbled when I finally ran out of RL-22 last year. :(

It was excellent in the 7mm Rem Mag and the 6mm Remington as well. Good velocity and accuracy.

Guy
Agreed, in the 6mm Rem with 95 and 100 grain bullets it is lethal, and very accurate in my rifle.
