Couple of weeks ago I mentioned getiing a new 1in8 twist 22-250.
Rifle is built on a 700 LA BDL .
Action was trued and a 26 inch Kreiger barrel in a varmit contour screwed in.
All setting in an HS Precision Sendero style stock.

Well I finally got to shoot it this past Sunday afternoon.
The first load I tried:
RP case
36 grs H4831SC
77 gr Sierra Match King
Fed 210 Primer.

Sand bagged her at 100 yards and

Just once, I'd like to have things come together like that! Been pondering a 22-250, and surprised that most of the offerings are not twisted for the heavier bullets available now. I'd be happy, happy!

Man Howard, I would love to have a fast twisted 22-250. Savage makes a 9 twist that is tempting. But yours sounds much cooler.

Well done Howard. She is a shooter for sure.
Time to go shoot some coyotes.

A trued Rem 700 action coupled with a cut-rifled Krieger barrel, chambered for a hot-shot cartridge like the .22-250 isn't really blind-hogging it...

More like a very well thought-out design for accuracy...

Congrats! Nice shooting.

Guy I didn't have this rifle built. I stole; I mean bought it  from a buddy of mine that didn't realize the 1/8 barrel wasn't great with the 55 gr bullets. He got a bit frustrated with it.
Whoever built it didn't stamp the barrel with caliber or twist rate.
I've wanted a 22-250 for over 30 years now. Don't think this one is going away anytime soon.

Now I just need more brass and bullets......
