Well, new to me anyway. Some of you may remember me telling you about the two rifles my cousin gave me the past two deer/elk seasons. Well, after a long delay getting the photos posted, here they are (I hope).

That's quite a pair! You are a lucky man........ Do you folks need any more relatives because I can be a lost something out here in Montana?

You have a couple of great rifles chambered in classic cartridges. Congratulations.

Looks like that .300 H&H is either a "sporterized" Model of 1917, or a Remington Model 30. The 30 was based on the M1917 action. Both are very strong, high-quality actions.

Congrats.

6mm......Now you see what I wanted the 280 dies for. I'm going to be working up some loads and hope to get out between Cristmas and New Years. Using 54 gr of IMR 4350 with 140 Ballistic Tips and working up from there. May also give RL 22 a try while I'm at it.

Dave, very nice pair of rifles. Alot of capability there as well. Pretty dynamic duo for hunting! Scotty

Just to be on the safe side Dave I think I need you to send the rifle and dies back to me and I'll try a few loads just to make sure the dies are working properly and the rifle shoots okay with ammo loaded with them. I realize that's a lot or work on my part, but the least I could do for you. :p

I realize that's a lot or work on my part, but the least I could do for you.

As I've noted in other contexts, the degree of sacrifice demonstrated by those posting on this forum moves me to tears.

You guys are really kind with your offers but I think I'll just pass. But, thanks for your generosity.

When I get them shooting, I'll try posting some results on the outcome but that may be a while. My wife is going in for surgery tomorrow AM (Getting a new knee). She is already handicapped due to a stroke during brain surgery 7 years ago. She has a bad left leg and has difficulty walking. The new knee is on her GOOD leg. May be some extensive rehab involved with this one. We have been through rehab time before so anticipate it my be extensive.

Dave

Wish you and your wife the best Dave and a good recovery for her. You have lots of Nosler folks here who will be thinking about you guys and saying a prayer or two for you both.
David

Nice!
The perfect pair for hunting NA and plains game in Africa.
