Anyone here experienced a loose tip on AccuBond. My friend told me that he found at least seven bullet with loose tip in each box that he open. Not sure what weight but it's 308 caliber. I have no idea how many box he has on hand but apparently he first noticed it while sighting in his rifle. One of the tip came loose and lodge inside the barrel and the round won't chamber. I told him to call Nosler and they'll make it right.

I've had two lots that had loose tips. The Nosler people offered to replace the boxes, but living in Canada made it overly expensive to replace. These were early production runs, however. As I recall, one lot was in 375 calibre and one was in 284 calibre.

I've read the occasional complaint about it on the internet, but haven't seen it myself.

I've found a couple of broken tips and the bullets they came from in a bunch of about 300 and a few more among other hundreds. No large numbers. 284 and 277. I just used them for sight in or fouling shots. On another note, the 180 gr. .308 cannalured seconds shot noticibly better than the firsts did. Now I cant find any.

Contact Nosler, they will make it right.

I've only had some eroded tips but did not seem to affect how they shot.

I had a box of 160 AccuBond, 7mm bullets that was a bullet short count in the box. They sent me (10) bullets to compensate for the shortage, no complaint about that!

I had some break off in the 200 grain AB in the magazine of my 300 Wby. Nosler relaced them for free, said there was a short run that the glue was wrong. They will ask for the product number from the box and give you some replacements. You can't ask for better service!

By the way I've never had a problem since!

It's probably a good idea to say somthing so they can get the problem fixed that may not realize it yet.
