 Just wanted to post some picts of the boys I'm taking to Africa in less than a month! I also wanted to thank the members of this forum for helping to teach me how to reload. My best friend and hunting partner passed away last year about this time and he had always wanted to teach me this amazing past time. I was always to busy being occupied with my family, job, horses etc. He left me all his equipment and I promised I'd learn how and put it to good use. I am now taking the the biggest hunting trip of my life and I'm going to use loads that I developed with your help, advice and expertise; THANK YOU! I especially wanted to thank the members who responded to my posts and to others who are on the steep part of the learning curve (POP,DR.MIKE,JD338,6mm,Beretz,rick smith and all the others whose alias' I can't recall at the moment).
I'm taking my two Kimbers, a 84m in .308 and a 8400 in .325wsm. The loads I've worked up are 165gr. AccuBond over 46.2 gr of Varget - Win case and primer. OAL is 2.814 at .003 off the lands, it shoots .75" groups with boring regularity(2730 fps). Last weekend I shot (2) 4" groups at 400 yards. The .325wsm load is a 200gr AccuBond over 66.4 gr of IMR 4350 Win case and WLRM primer(2850fps). The OAL is 2.862 and it shoots into less than an inch if I do my part. Not bad for a couple of stock rifles! I'll post picts and reports/stories when I get back.

Have a great hunt. Take lots of pictures. Share with the rest of us what you accomplish. You have a couple of fine rifles, and it certainly sounds as if you have the right loads for them.

Here's a photo of your rifles:

Muleman, that looks like a very perfect pair of rifles for Africa or North America. Probably one of the more balanced pairs available! That is excellent you were so successful with your new hobby. Your loads look very neat and your rifles look to be set up perfect. I can't wait to hear about your trip. I hope you take lots of game. Good luck on your trip. Scotty

Good luck, shoot straight. You will have the time of your life there. Can't wait to see the pictures.
