I didn't want to hijack Bruce Mc's thread so I figured I would just start another one. I finally managed to get some time and good weather the last few days and got to do some work with the 115gr BT. The two powders im working with are Retumbo and my usual go to powder for the 25.06 RL22. I started in the middle of the load data and worked my way up to max. These were the best two groups I got and they were both consistent. Everything below and above opened up to and inch or more.
I could probably go with either one but I think i'll work a little more with the Retumbo since it shot just a little better and I have two new jugs. Both these loads are seated .010 off the lands and shot under an inch. I don't know what the velocities are as my chrony went on the blink about a year ago and I've never replaced it.
I was thinking maybe I would play with the seating depth a little just to see what happens. Or .... i could just leave well enough alone and load what I have and shoot. My longest shots here on the farm are about 350yds with most being 300yds and closer so I'm confident that either one of these loads should get it done out to that distance. However, as a reloader sometimes it hard to leave well enough alone because I always feel that it will do just a little better :).

Those look pretty good as is. Try seating a little deeper (a quarter turn on the seater at a time) and you
may be able to tighten up those groups a little more.

Nice. We do a lot of .25-06 threads here don't we?

Yeah - I'd hunt with either of those loads, no problem. I keep mine sighted-in at 300 yards, for those longish pokes.

Love that doggone 115 grain Ballistic Tip! (y)

Certainly a couple of tight groups. You might be able to tighten up a bit, as JD338 suggests. However, you have a fine load as is. It will serve you well.

JD338, i'll give that a try first chance I get. Thank You!

Great shooting. Looks like a great load right there. I am about to try loading the 25-06 again. I haven't done a whole lot with it in a few years. Time to get it out and shoot it some. Yours looks like it'll deliver the mail as is. I'd be really interested in speeds if you ever get a chance to try it. Your RL22 load is real similar to my 120 Swift load and that runs about 3140.
