Been lurking for some time, and have gotten quite a bit of good info from picking through the posts. Have been reloading about 6 yrs, and have found that I have gravitated to the Nosler bullets. Just wanted to let everyone know that I appreciate the time it takes type out a response, and I also enjoy that there does not seem to be any 'tension' on the forum that can be found at some other sites.

I did have one quick question, I have worked up a load for a 300wsm with 180gr BT's/RL22...........would a 180gr AccuBond shoot about the same, or would I need to start from scratch?

Thanks again

Welcome to the forum, glad you are here. There is a good bunch of fellas here that are eager to help and share their knowledge.

Any time you switch components, its always a good idea to drop back a couple grains and work back up. By switching from the BT to the AB, you "should" be close but you may have to "tweak" your zero.

Let us know how your load development goes.

dk,

Welcome to Nosler's forum. Sorry, I don't know anything about the 300wsm, but there will be plenty here that do.

Overall, I've had very good luck when changing fm BT to AB's. Ocassionally you will need to work up a different load for the AB's, but not very often.

My point of impact did change a little. The Abonds went an inch up and to the right.

Welcome to the forum; glad to have you aboard. JD is correct; anytime you change components, it is a good idea to drop back at lest 5% and work up for safety sake. The AB is an excellent choice for the 300 WSM. The POI should be "similar," but "similar" is not necessarily identical.

My load now is fairly mild, 66.0gr of RL22, shoots quite well out of my Savage.......

If I can get my hands on some 180gr AB, I might try and pump up the velocity a bit, thanks for the responses.

Welcome... RL19 and 22 are my faves for the 300 wsm
