Okay, can't seem to get enough of the RUM. Here is my latest addition....

The 300 RUM does deliver a good "whomp" at either end. A lot of power in the cartridge.

Now I have to get glass for it...lol
Should I change out the stock, or leave it as is? I have a Boyds laminate that I could use, but the factory one looks kinda nice. Just not sure how rigid it is.

I wouldn't change it until you shoot it a bit. May not need to change out the stock.

At 95 grains of powder per shot, you're going to need your money for ammo anyway!

Yes a 300 RUM now that is a cartridge that can reach out and touch something .
They are a lot of fun!!

Blessings,
Dan

The stock is plenty strong enough. I've put one on a custom 416 Rem and it has no problems. The Boyd's stocks are very nice but you'll add about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of carry weight which may help perceived recoil. I went with the muzzle break and the lighter weight because I do a lot of hiking when I hunt. It's a personal choice.

Thanks for the response Greg. Never used one of these stocks before, so was unsure of the stability.
