Hey all,
I just got crazy and put a Sako 75 finnlight in 300WSM on layaway,
I hear good things about Sakos....
The thing I find rather odd is that all Sako's offerings in 30 cal. have 1 in 11 twists!?
I would have thought the more usual 1 in 10 twist would be ideal...
Any thoughts or experiences you care to share?

The only thing I dont like about the Finnlites is the short barrel. To me a magnum should have a 24" barrel. Cannot help it, I have a bias  . Otherwise they have proven very accurage with handloads. I cannot speak for factory fodder.

And the Sako Recalls were a couple of years ago. If it is a new rifle you should have no worries.

I had a Finnlight in 25-06 a few years back as well as the standard Sako 75. They are a very nice rifles....extremely well made and very accurate rigs. Take a close look at the scope mounting system before buying though...you may not like the looks of it.

A Sako Finnlight in 300WSM (with that short barrel) is going to bark pretty loud but if you like the rifle, I wouldn't hesitate. Enjoy the new toy!
