Very nice Smith Pop. Back about 20 years ago I picked up a used 4" 629 that had issues. When firing certain factory loads the cylinder would unlock upon firing and rotate backwards so the next time I went to fire it I had a fired case under the firing pin.
A quick phone call to Smith and they sent out a shipping tag. They totally rebuilt the 629 at no cost to me, and upgraded it in the process.
After the rebuild I shot 300gr. Sierra Jacketed Soft Points with a max charge of W-296 through it without any issues (well other than my wrist that is).
Sure wish I still had that 629, but I traded it off for a S&W Model 645 to use for work at the time.
