Boring regularity....

Took the Nosler M48 Sporter out to get ready for hunting season. As much as I like messing with a bunch of different rifles, the Nosler with 180gr Trophy Grade ammo  gets the nod when something needs to die.

Fired 2 shot at 150yds.... .5" apart.

Cool barrel

Adjust scope...fired 2 more .6" apart with the bull between them.

Cool barrel

Fired one shot.... .25" to the left of the bull.

Ready to hunt....5 shots.

I really enjoy this rifle and ammo combo...no tinkering, no fussing. Just load it and shoot stuff.

I did replace the scope last year with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40...another boringly reliable piece of equipment so far.

Nice. It is great when they work so well. What did you have on the rifle before the Zeiss?

I originally had a Leupold fixed 4x....loved it. Hunted with it two seasons. Popped the gas seal in a mean tumble down a scree chute mid season.

Replaced it with a Leupold 6x (only thing available locally at the time)...loved it. Moved it to a varmint rifle after the second season.

Found a smoking deal on a Zeiss, thought I'd try it.... like it so far after one season. Although I tended to shoot everything on 6x, making the variable sort of a non-issue.

Ah got ya. Makes sense to me. They are some very clear optics for sure.
