buddy of mine to his sendero and rebarelled it with a 28in. hart with 1 1/4 taper. chambered in 7 stw. stuck a nightforce 5.5x22x50 on it. i got to shoot it tonite and rang the gong at 700 twice and 1000 on the first shot. with a 15 to 20 mph crosswind. she weighs in at over 14 lbs. but i am damn glad he is on my side.

My buddy had one of the 7 STW cannons. He was using it to bean field hunt deer in East NC. He would shoot deer so far away you had to get the truck to drive to them. He once killed two deer with one shot with it. He was shooting the 140 gr Nosler partitions and this BIG buck that he had been hunting all season finely showed up right at last shooting light on the last day of the season. He was a little over 200 yards away standing in the edge of the woods looking out across the bean field. All my buddy could see was his front shoulder forward. That was quite enough. He put one of those 140 partitions through the center of the bucks front shoulders and he hit the ground like a rock. But then my buddy said that he saw the weeds along the edge of the woods shaking a few yards beyond the buck that he had just shot. When he went to the buck he found a doe laying dead about 10 yards on the off side of the buck. That Partition had blasted through both shoulders of that buck and hit this doe, which my buddy could not see, right perfectly behind the front shoulder for a heart, lung, shot and it exited the doe. No problem with the two deer because you can also shoot a doe as well as taking two deer a day in East NC.
