With the weather being crappy for the last week or two I have got a bunch of loading done. I have six different rifles that I'll be doing load testing for on the next half nice day.

I will be doing testing for the following:
.243 win. in my Savage 12. 72 gr Barnes Verminators loaded behind 46.5, 47, and 47.5 gr H4350. Using these up to clean off my bench a bit till I make it to town to pick up some more 55 BT.
.270 WSM in my Custom M70. Shooting 140 ABs over some Mag Pro.
My dads Remington M700 270 Winchester. Shooting 140 PT, over RL-19.
.338 WM M70 shooting 225 AB over 73.5 RL-19.
.375R shooting 260 AB over several different loads of Big Game.
And last but not least is My Remington 700 7 STW shooting 160 AB over Retumbo.

Here are the methods of transportation for those ABs.
My savage m 12 .243 topped with a 6-18x40 Mark II mil dot.
Dads Remington 700 .270 win. Topped with a Burris 3-9x40.
My custom M70 .270 wsm topped with a VX-III 4.5-14x40 LR.
My M70 .338WM wearing a VX-III 3.5-10x40 B&C.
The new custom 700 7STW topped with a VX-III 6.5-20x50 with a TMR.
And one of my favorites, the 375 Ruger African. Topped with a 2.5-8x36 VX-III that my lovely bride bought me.

Jake that's a nice collection you have there! We'll need range reports too when you finish this grueling day you have planned!

You have it covered from mice to moose, from beetles to bears. Some fine looking rifles in your armory.

I have been waiting for weeks!!!!!!!!!!!

Today Winds gusting past 50 mph and colder with clouds giving way to some sun

Wind WNW at 26 mph Gusts: 56 mph

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with them and the coverage they offer.

Her is the best two loads for the 375R. I think I can get them a bit better by tweaking coal.

The .243 did as expected. Almost everything I feed it shoots like this.

The 270 wsm did ok. I'm still tweaking it a bit.

The stw didn't do to hot. I was getting 3285 average and the group opened up a good bit over the the last test. That group went around .5" and was .5 gr less powder.

I didn't take dads 270 or my 338 wm this trip. They'll get their turn next weekend. Along with confirming the 270 wsm and 7 stw.

You had your hands full with the rifles you had. You got some good information. Now to analyze and reassess. Good stuff, Jake.

Yep sitting here watching the Ravens and Pats duke it out, and going over them.

The thing that shocked me was the .375. Those two groups went 2833 fps and 2844 fps. Both had single digit extreme spread. A bit of tweaking and I know I can get it under the 1" mark. I did crack the tang of the stock out the rest of the way, but it is just a surface chip. I figure if it keeps getting worse, I'm liking some of the McWoody stocks I have seen.

Great looking rifles Jake.. I see we both had a decent range day. Your 270WSM looks to coming along well. What was the speed out of the 140's?

How did the 338 shoot? I might have to mess around with the 225 AB's after what I saw today. The new stock seems to have helped some.

Was getting 3213 with the 140 AB out of the 270 wsm.

I didn't take the 338 wm today. It will be up first next weekend when I tweak the 375 and stw. I should be pushing the 160 AB out of the stw around 3250.

Jake,

Good outing! The 7mmSTW is really moving that 160 gr AB. You are right on the heels of the 7mm RUM, 3318 fps with the 160 gr AB.
