I am loading a 308, using a load in the Nosler book for IMR4350 and the 180gr Partition. this load shows it is 107% compressed. What tips or techniques do I use in loading a copressed laod? Any ideas and feedback is appricated. I am trying to duplicate a load from a Federal factory load at 2740 fps

#1 a drop funnel works very well. I have the same issue with my 7-08 and 48.0grns of IMR-4350. You'll really notice the difference in brass and the 4350 powder. Some fill ok, others take a little work.

I was told by a gunsmith that you can take a shell filled with powder and use a non abrasive pad on an orbital sander to quickly settle powder charges.
I've never tried it so this is only second hand information.

Long powder funnel. That is how I used to stuff 131 grains of H870 in my 378 BEE under a 300 grain hornady.
