Took some out-of-town friends for a ride today, and some hiking. Hoped to find bighorn sheep for them - and it happened! Ya, the background isn't great. The bighorns were up on a high point near some radio towers, and the fog was really messing with the cameras... But, all in all, I'm happy. Not every day I can just go up a hill and show folks some bighorns!

I figure that although I'll likely never draw the tag, I'm a sheep hunter. Just do it with a camera instead of a rifle.

With a camera can be very gratifying. No doubt your visitors were enthralled by the residents of the hills.

Awesome pics guy! No reason to worry about background, that bighorn is amazing!

Hunting with a camera may not fill the freezer or any bellies, but it sure does something for the mind and the soul!

No season. No limit. No tags to draw. Can crawl around, stalk, and take as many wildlife photos as I want... Pack-out is real easy too.

But ya, no backstrap steaks either!

Thanks for sharing Guy, very impressive photos. What kind of camera and what was the range in the photos?

I managed to get to 15 - 20 yards of the bighorns.

Was using my Olympus PEN mini.

Guy thank you so much for the photos. It is great that we get to be part of your hunt (y).

Blessings,
