CZ has 17 Hornets on their webpage now. Just an fyi. I hope to order a 204 in the next year from them then a 17 Hornet.

I have a CZ 527 .204 Ruger. I have had it for about 3-4 years now but do not use it much. I was trying to sell it before Christmas but got no takers. It is a very accurate little rifle and is surprisingly so because it is a small Mini-Mauser action with a thin barrel. I have killed a few varmits with it , including one racoon. It does shoot great.

OT3, I haven't used my 527 .204 as much as anticipated either, and considered selling it - but dang - it's such a neat little rifle I'd miss it right after it was gone.

I think CZ really hit a home run with the little 527 action. Neat rifles. One in a Hornet would be neat too.

Yup I had a couple of 527's. All shot great!!

I also think that they hit a home run with this rifle design, Guy. I really like the rifle, I just wish that I used it more.

I've had a couple 527s. Two 22 hornets, one the standard and one the Prestige and a custom barreled 17 AH Prestige with just flat out awesome wood grain.

The single set triggers of those are something I've always prefered and while a good single stage trigger is more than adequate, I still like the single SET triggers..........if I could afford one in a big bore.

If younger and we still had the groundhog population we once had, the second would have stayed here.

Ive never shot a "bad" 527 but I've never had the chance to shoot the bigger versions and while I like the "model 70" CZ model 3, I really wish CZ had made something in a short action mag bolt face otherwise. If they did, I cant find reference to a model of such.

I've often referred to the dozens and dozens of 700s I've mostly preferred all my life but the CZ rifles give up nothing. In fact, the single set trigger, factory barrel accuracy, fit and finish, and over all handling characteristics give up nothing to any rifle I've been blessed to handle much, but obviously I've not handled them all. I never cared for the detachable clip, but that is just my personal whine.

Just my 2 cents and a little eye candy. Photos I kept after selling this one. 200 yard groups with load that I spend VERY little time working up gave me just over .8". I've never laid claim to any kind of a bench shooter. Probably less than 200 rounds have went down any range with me pulling the trigger.

I doubt I'll ever have a rifle that shoots that well, all the time....and looks like this.

That is certainly a good looking rifle. The wood definitely has some character.

This is my hornet. Also gone. They didnt skimp on wood quality in the no longer available Prestige versions. The jeweled bolt was a nice touch too and very nicely done.

Again, Steve, handsome rifle, for sure. I am a sucker for good looking wooden stocks. That is an attractive rifle.

I cannot think of a situation where I would find it necessary to sell something that beautiful.

I am such a Gollum when it comes to firearms.

I would like to sell mine (CZ 527) just because I do not use it and would use the money to buy something that I do use more. I have a two year rule, if I do not use it for something useful in two years, I should sell it and get something that I will use.

Charlie I hope you can use it more somehow they seem like very nice guns. I have thought about getting a 223 and then see how far away I can end up head shooting grouse :)

Gerry, the CZ 527 that I have (.204 Ruger) is very accurate, surprisingly so for a small light barrelled action like this one. Mine will shoot 1/2 inch groups (cold) with handloads if I am able to do my part.

It seems a lot of them are very accurate and they come in a LH version too in 223 and 204. Your 204 must be fun and economical to shoot.
