IMAG0213.jpgStarted using Nosler Etip bullets mid 2013. Needed to come up with a load for California pig hunt. Wasn't getting consistent groups with Barnes. I'm know shooting .5 inch groups from my Thompson Center Encore and my Remington 700 in 270 rem. Shot antelope, pigs and deer. Shot a 300 lb. mule deer in Texas in nov. of 2013 and recovered both bullets and they are picture perfect expansion. see attached photos

P.S. dec. 4 2105 just got back from texas mule deer hunt. shot this 32 inch mule deer with 130 gr nosler etip in 270.

B2B,

Welcome aboard. The E-Tip is turning out to be a favourite bullet for me. It performs extremely well in a variety of cartridges for me. For posting photos, check out this thread: http://forum.nosler.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10797. The steps are self-explanatory. If you have trouble posting, any of a number of the regular posters here will be glad to help get you started. Again, welcome aboard.

B2B.
Welcome to this wonderful forum. Congrats on your success. That is a good buck for sure buddy.
The E-tip is a great choice, I have worked with them in my 300 RUM at one time, shot very well for me too.

Good looking buck - and the expanded bullets look great too!

I've set aside a few boxes of .30 cal E-Tips, just in case someone decides to make lead-core bullets illegal here in Washington as well. It's been proposed. Grrrr...

Nice to see that the e-tip has worked so well for you, and welcome to the forum!

Regards, Guy

Good looking buck, and the recovered E-Tips look exactly like the few I've recovered. This has become a favourite bullet in several cartridges for me. I suspect that the requirements for monolithic bullets (non-lead) in California is harbinger for the future. So long as I can get the performance from the E-Tip that I've witnessed to date, I can make it.

I wish they would make the e tip in a 130gr 6.5. 120 is smaller than I want to shoot in my 26 Nosler
