Hi Guys, I just back last Sunday from Elk hunting and I can finally say that I got a real nice bull 5X5. I will send some photos but I do not know how to post so if anyone wants to see the photos once I get them on my computer I will send them, via email.
I have now converted a few more people to the Nosler Accubonds as they saw what my 270 win with a 130gr AccuBond can do. My nephew also took a one with his 7mm mag using 160gr accubonds. While out at the range earlier this month, I was attempting to develop a load for the 7 and after a few different powders I tried IMR 4350 and it was like night and day.
Using a leadsled inside a quarter at 200 yards, I had already had that kind of success with my 270 win and 130gr. using IMR 4350.

Where are the pictures of that monster. It is always good to see some big elk! Scotty

I'm helping Sask Boy out by posting his elk hunting pictures for him, so here they are (I hope I get the commentary right for them)

Those are some trophy elk! Wow, you are going to have a stuffed freezer with all that meat! Congratulations. Scotty

Hey Rich, I would really like to thank you for the help.
We were sure lucky to be able to hunt the Elk on the farmland, it is a lot easier.
I was called and my meat and sausage is ready to pick up.
My cousin is back up as open Moose starts tomorrow, I was going to go but circumstances were not right.
Still have Mule Deer at the end of the month and then my favourite Whitetail the middle of November.
I am sure glad that I scanned this site great group of guys with lots of stories.
Thanks again Blessings,
Dan

Congratulations! That 5x5 is a good looking bull, and the spike hanging looks good too.

Great job fellas! My efforts did not bear fruit this year.

POP if you add up the 47 speed goats that you shot you might end up with the equivelant of an elk

That is true but I am speed goat rich but elk poor! Too new to the job to have more time off!
