I went into my local gun store(Moe Hardware in Black River Falls, WI cheaper than WalMart btw) today and traded my Contender for an Encore SS Lam. M/L. I stood there like an idiot picking up the Savage M/L II and then the Encore and back and forth... Finally I decided the advantage of changing calibers was worth the extra $75 so I took the Encore. Now that I've made the plunge without checking first, how accurate are the Encore centerfire rifle barrels. I'm thinking I "need" a .204 Ruger and a .25-06.

Thanks Again,
Rich

I don't have any rifle barrels yet, but I have three 15" Encore barrels. A 243,308, & 7mm-08. All three shoot around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 MOA with hand loads. I'm still working on the "perfect" load, and I believe I can get them all under 1 MOA. Actually, the 308 (I've worked more with it than the others) is sometimes under 1" now. I plan on concentrating on it this summer to see what it will really do.

I have 2 Encore receivers, 2 15" encore pistol barrels with muzzle brakes,1 in 454 casull with a TC Muzzle Tamer( it doesn't work) and a 30-06 with a scorehigh gunsmithing muzzle brake http://www.probed2000.com
) that does work. Both barrels are accurate;I also have a TC 24"243 barrel very accurate and a Bullberry 20" barrel in 454 casull which is back in Utah being rechambered to S&W 460. My 454 casull and 45lc hand loads are very accurate using jacketed ,Hornaday, Speer,Sierra or Cast Performance bullets. http://www.castperformance.com which are also available at midwayusa.
