The Savage 111 270 got the chance to break in the new shooting bench. First hand loads through this one.
I had one failure to fire, the primer didn't have any pin dent at all.
Fired on the second try. Not sure what the cause was.
If the 57 grain load shoots this well then I think I have found my 130 grain Ballistic Tip load.

You can't get any better than that!
Congratulations!
Savage 111's are shooters, no doubt, but it's the person behind them that has the experience to truly make them shine!

I noticed you were shooting NEW cases. You will need to reshoot to see what happens with previously fired cases. I have seen drastic accuracy changes from new to previously fired full length resized cases. Usually I have had to up the powder charge some to achieve the same level of accuracy. I have not used the SC version but the standard H4831 with 130 BT and Sierra Game King and 60 grs has been the ticket in numerous 270s. This is the load that used to be right on the bottle of H4831. It is a deer killer to just about as far as you can see. Yes those Savage rifles are no prom queen to look at but they sure do shoot good usually. Good luck.
