Matt got his new gatgun custom .264 back several weeks ago but we just haven't had time to fool with it. It is built on a tang safety Ruger 77 with a Douglas barrel fluted by Chucky and Egore. For the time being it is still in the wood stock. Chucky bedded it in the wood so Matt could use it until the Hi-Tech Specialty goes on it. Lots going on with my dad and such like. Last night I finally got to load some ammo for it. I used the 129gr Hornady spire point over Ramshot Magnum lit by a 250 primer. Remember this is just the first work-up load so things will improve..................

A good looking group. With others, I'd be interested in specifics.

Holy smokes! That is a great group, right outta the gates! +3 on wanting some specifics. Scotty

Roy,

Outstanding!
As already requested, send us some pics of the rifle.

I should have a perfect load this weekend that I will share data on. I can tell you now from using Ramshot magnum in the .264 with several bullets that it is in the top 3 powders for this cartridge. With the 130 AccuBond it is flat out awsome. I am probably going to hold velocity to 3200fps with the 129gr. I have had good luck with it up to that speed. Beyond that and a close shot will probably unravel the bullet. reflex264

I will take a good pic of the rifle shortly.

Cool looking forward to it. I might try it in my 264 WM Sendero II.

Looks like a real shooter. I have always liked the .264. I watched my great uncle bust a very nice four point mulie with one at over 300 yards when I was pretty young, and have been liking them ever since.
