The BC on the 320gr .375 is .830 and the 375gr .416 is .825. They are expensive a hell but the .416 @ 2700fps will be over 2500fpe at 1000yds and the .375 @ 2700 will be over 2100fpe. Your Bee's would push them even faster. Recoil might be a little brutal but definately no worse then the .460. I think I might try some in my .375 RUM.

ONE STEP AHEAD
I talked to Mike and he made me a special batch of 375 cal 300 grain pictured below. BC is .650 or so. Call him and get some.

Waiting for the 378 Lazermark to come back from surgery with a
Krieger match on it.

Nice!
Impressive BC's for sure.

Fotis, when will Rob be getting your 378 Bee back to you?

According to him .... last month. Shipped it to him in June.
I call him every couple of weeks but no luck on the Krieger showing up yet.

Those are some very impressive bullets! Are they hunting bullets or target grade? Scotty

Thats what I want to know! and do they make a .338 cal?!!!!

They make 225gr to 300gr .338's. The 225's are impressive at .640+ BC. They are solid copper and designed for high bc for targets and hunting.

I misread Fotis' post about the 300gr bullets. I thought they were for a .416. I did talk to Cutting Edge today and he said they are getting 2800fps out of the 375gr .416 bullets in a .40 Hart (.416 RUM). I happen to have a reamer for that one already. Now I just have to find a barrel.

Dang, you read my mind. If only M70 RUM actions weren't so spendy...

Just found what I will take on a Cape Buffalo hunt. Now I need to find the money to go on the hunt.

Fotis- Which model are those CEB?? Do they have the seal tight band?

Here's a rifle I know you guys will like- I though it was a pretty cool build.

A friend and I contemplated this caliber 5 or 6 years ago after we did a .416 RUM. The gain the ultra mag provided didn't seem like enough to justify the wildcat with the bullets available at the time. We were drilling out 300gr X bullets to shoot rockchucks. The .458 RUM would have probably been better with the 45-70 bullets at short range but I built a Lott instead. With the new muzzlebrakes the bigger calibers are a little more tollerable.

BTW when I talked to CE today he told me about those bullet he is using. They are designed to shed six petals about 2" inside the animal with the core shooting through. He said they had been tested on Cape Buffalo (over 20) and all but a few dropped within feet.

And if I remember correctly their expansion velocity is quite low. Hence them guys dropping game at looooong distances.

Love to have choices!

Got an update from Daniel

Fotis,

We have them (375 cal 300 grain) ran off and are available now. They should go on our web site tomorrow. We are going to try our best to get them tested this weekend and get you some data. We anticipate the BC to come in somewhere between .70 and .74 at 2600fps. The new bullets are going to be much prettier than the ones you first got. They are the same bullet but we are now cutting them with a different tool that makes them look much nicer. They will not shoot any different but they will be more pleasing to the eye. Have you had a chance to shoot them yet?

Thanks

That's cool the BC is that high on the 300's. I was thinking about trying the Raptor bullets for my Dec. cow elk hunt if he get's them done before then.

How does the new Krieger tube shoot them?

Have no clue. Still waiting on Krieger since June!

I know that feeling. I waited on a .50 cal muzzleloader barrel for 9 months from them. The rest of their barrels were taking 4-5 month at the time. I waited for 16 months for a .338 Obermeyer barrel one time. I forgot I even ordered it.

Sounds like something I'd do. I fly home from my rotation at work, and start going through boxes of stuff that I've bought, and surprise myself with something I forgot about.

But I guess I can say I've never done that with a barrel.

Yet.
