Anyone had any luck goose hunting this season? So far in my part of Va it has really sucked!

Wow, VA must have an early waterfowl/goose season. Idaho's and Cali's waterfowl season don't start until next month.

Here in MI, we have an early goose season that runs from Sept 1-15.
I never got out for the early season but will be out foro the general season starting Oct 6. I can't wait!
There are quite a few geese here but nothing like other regions that have unbeleivable numbers.

I have not been out yet. I usally don't do very well here in the New River Valley during the early season. We have more luck in the late season. Seems most of the geese are still on the golf courses at this time :lol:

Early season runs from Sept 1-25. The past couple of years early season has been great but have yet to drop the hammer on anything. Right now a nap in the blind is the biggest part of the day.

Has anybody done any goose hunting in Iowa. Going to Clinton, Iowa end of Oct for a week.

We just finished up our early goose season here in Oregon. Opening day we shot 15 geese in 15 minutes, could have used a few more guns because we certainly had more than enough geese around. Didn't hunt to much more after that but we did a few other good days before season ended.

Thats the kind of opening day I like to have. The only thing that has come into the decoys was a sick whitetail.
