With much saving, sacrificing, and research I am the proud owner of Meopta Meostar HD 10X42 Binos and a 30-60x82 Meostar HD spotter....

Over the years I have owned Swaro, Leica, Zen Ray, Vortex, Burris, and Theron Optics. I am no expert, but I do feel this HD Meopta stuff is right up there with the very best. The binos remind me a lot of the 10x42 Swaro SLC neu, but with better crisper images.

The spotting scope is just purely amazing...Put a swaro logo on it and I doubt you would know the difference.

Both products are made in Europe and have an excellent warranty and customer service here in the states.

This package saved me $1500-2k over a comparable "big 3" set and to my eye I have "big 3" optics!

You did good idaho....really good. I have the same binocs and S2 spotter, only mine has the 70x eyepiece. World class is right. I had a Kowa 884 and the S2 at the same time for a short while, and the S2 is just as sharp at all mags up to 45x, and sharper than the Kowa at mags above that. Plenty sharp at 70x too when the atmosphere is cooperating. My two buddies own the Zeiss 85T FL, and the S2 is noticeably better all the way around than that one as well.

I also think those bins are every bit as good as the SLCneu, and within a natshair of the SLC HD because I had them all side by side on a tripod trying to decide. I believe the Meopta is extremely well built. That pair you have will take a back seat to nothing. I've sure enjoyed mine, and bet you will too.

Nice!
I'm going to have to make a trip to Cabela's and see what they have.

I've got the 10x42 HD Meoptas as well and like them a lot. I think when it's time for a spotter I'll look at Meopta again. Hard to beat the prices and I can't see any difference from the Swaros I've used.

Man I got to take look at these Optics as you guys are really giving them great reports.
I have never seen a person in these parts using Meopta glass of any sort.

Blessings,
Dan

What Dan said, as most folks around here use Nikons, etc. I think the cost of stuff kinda goes with the area of the country thingy.

Most people haven't heard of Meopta or they think they are some expensive imitation. I've had quite a few guys looking threw my Meopta Meopro 3.5-10X44 rifle scope and they can't believe what they see. They look into dark shadows and see things they can't see with anything they own. Most of the people think Leopold , Burris, Nikon, Bushnell, Simmons, Vortex and some of the top Euro brands are all there is. Vortex is making inroads on the market with their pricing but Meopta is top quality equipment and very reasonably priced IMO.

Idaho how did you like the spotter out in the field this Fall. Thinking I'll need to start looking for the fall.
