On the 416 I have the picatinny base and 2 scopes.
4.5x14x40mm LR with turrets
and 1.5x5x20mm
Pending on situation.

Unless its deeply complicated can you explain the diff in Ruger #1 variants.

The 1v's are the heavy barrel varmint versions. 26" barrels and no quarter rib. Just 2 bases where you mount the ruger rings.
The 1H is called the tropical and is also 24" heavy barrel to absorb the recoil that is generated by these rifles. Caliber range from 375 Ruger H&H format to 416 Rigby, 458 win and mine the 458 Lott. These also sport sights.
The 1B is their classic with the quarter rib (as the 1H) and no sights at all. Medium heavy 26" barrels.

Then the have the 1S the 1A 1 AH, etc.
