I was wondering if i purchased a NCR, how long would it take to receive it? Also is there a break in period recomended on the barrel? Thank you

9599svt, You might be in for a wait. The last I spoke to Tannin, there is a good sized back log. But it will be worth it. I ordered my rifle in December-maybe April is the born date.
As for breaking in the barrel, look in the rifle section, on the top. I think JusMo posted it.
Its coming from Nosler for there rifles.

I ordered one in 300 wsm. I own a BAR in 300 wsm and am very happy with how the caliber performs for me. I dont know to much about the ackley and the 338 is probably overkill for deer.

The 300 WSM is a great all around chambering and will be awesome in the Nosler NCR.
When will you take delivery?
Post some pictures when you get her home.

That is great news. All of us want to hear your experience and see the pictures. Good for you. Congratulations.

For sure! Can't wait to see targets and to see the rifle. They are some sweet rifles. Scotty

Well ncr 05-344 is home. I have not shot it yet, but am very impressed with its beauty and high quality fit and finish. The rifle is extremly balanced and feels very light while handling. I do have a few questions that I hope someone can help with. The scope has the crosshairs with one dot above and three dots below. I am assuming it should be zeroed at 200 yards and then the dot above is 100, and the dots below are 300, 400, and 500 yards? I have only seen one other ncr and I think it was an produced about 2005. On the action it was stamped ncr xx-xxx where as mine is stamped N-922, and on the opposite side it says nosler custom. Then on the barrel it says #344 of 500. Does anybody know when they changed this? Sorry for all the questions, hopefully I will shoot it soon and post some pictures. Thanks

Don't know much about the serial number question, but I am looking forward to the pictures! Scotty

You've got it mostly, zero the main crosshair for 200 yards and everything else falls into place. The dot above the crosshair is for range estimation--let me do some checking to find the instructions on how to use that part...

Regarding serial numbers, most of the NCR 300WSM's were serialized as the "NCR05-XXX" but due to some ATF regulation changes we were no longer able to serialize the remaining 300 WSM's as such--hence the recent change to the N-XXX and markings "XXX of 500" that will be on the final 100 or so rifles made in that caliber. The 280AI's and 338 Win's are serialized with the "NCR07,09-XXX". All part of the interesting and confusing world of firearm manufacturing and regulations...
