...on a pretty regular basis. The manager's a good friend & you never really know what odds & ends you might find. They get a lot of small run items that aren't listed on-line, but this is a catalog item, & I found it pretty interesting...

...you might notice the 30% off if you've "liked" STP on FaceBook...

...I know, "Made in China", etc.etc., but "Lone Wolf" is a subsidiary of "Benchmade", & these saws are pretty well done. The nylon grip is heavily textured & comfortable, the blade is fairly stout. This is a lot bigger, beefier version of most of the t-handled saws out there. Tried it out on a frozen elk bone, worked very well. I really like my WY saw, but this is about a third the cost, & quite a bit handier for quick for quick jobs like splitting the pelvis or sternum. I've quartered quite a few elk w/ the old Knapp saws, & I'm sure this saw would be up to the task...

That's a pretty good looking saw. Just about all are made in China now. I just picked one up a couple of weeks past. This is the one I picked up:

Had I known about that one, I might have picked it up. May have to start perusing Sierra Trading Post.

That one is also pretty neat, Jim. My last Gerber saw has the tip bent. They have a lifetime warranty, but that particular saw is no longer offered, so I am loath to send it in under warranty as I would not get it back. Ergo, I bought a new one, and I'll carry the old one as well. The saws you and Gene posted look pretty good, however.

I have a "Loveless" Lone Wolf folder that was made in Italy. Good knife so I bought another one (made in China) Benchmade, not the same, looks nice but won't hold an edge!

Don't have a need for a saw right now but I am a big fan of Sierra Trading Post.
I like to browse through their website when I'm looking for something. I often find that I can get what I'm looking for at a reduced price.
