I'm as susceptible to trends and paranoia as the next guy
Or maybe more so. How 'bout you guys? It seems counter-productive to stock up and then shoot up! So, I find myself fiddling with my target style pellet gun a lot....the pigeons sitting on top of the grainary 70 yds. away are pretty challenging, especially if the wind is more than about 2 mph. There isn't a shortage of pellets, thankfully, and I have a 20 lb. bulk fill co2 tank. One pound is good for about 1,000 shots.
I also turned to gun maintenance and tune-up projects, checking screw torques, cleaning barrels and lenses, re-organizing the bench, stuff like that. I figured out how to tune my old balance beam scale, and also what it takes to get my cheap Hornady scale to read consistently and match up with the balance beam - it can be done! I just don't want to shoot up a pile of components tweaking loads and punching paper right now. Turkey season is coming up, and soon after that the walleye bite will turn on. Good excuses for not popping caps for a while.
I'm curious if others on here have gone to similar activities?
