IMR4955?

No but I want to! I've been really impressed with IMR 4451. This new one looks to be a very useful burn rate. Keep us posted on your results!

What have you tried 4451 on? I have a chance to buy some and would appreciate your input. I'm still searching for 4955 for the same reason you mentioned, burn rate. It looks very versatile especially for my .25-06.

I bought a pound today. Anybody have a chance to try this powder yet?

Haven't seen it here yet but I really want to try it in our 6.5x55 and 30-06 especially. Hodgdon shows some excellent speeds for it in those two.

Have tried IMR 4451 and 7977 a little bit in a 7mm RM with 154 gr Hornady's so I'm expecting good things from 4955.

Seems like from the data that Hodgdon posted and the article in the latest manual, 4955 looks fairly similar to H4831. Should be very good in the 270 and other cartridges where H4831 was useful. IMR seems to be doing pretty well. I tried some of the new 4451, but haven't really had the chance to really shoot it for accuracy.

I've been loading it in my 260 Rem. Load is 42 grains with the 140 Berger Hybrid. Insanely accurate out of my rifle and velocity is pretty good as well at 2755fps.
